The celebration of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's Hindavi Swarajya marked a significant event at Shivaji College during the Shivaji Jayanti festivities organised under the guidance of 'Shivraj 350,' a project initiated by the college principal, Prof. Virender Bhardwaj. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Vice Chancellor, Prof Yogesh Singh, with Vinod S. Tawde, former education minister of the Government of Maharashtra, as the guest of honour. The distinguished guests paid their respects at the Shivaji statue.
During the celebration, the college unveiled the new name of the library, 'Bhushan Granthalaya,' and inaugurated a dedicated section for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Additionally, the newly constructed Jijabai Academic block was officially dedicated to the Shivaji Fraternity by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and other dignitaries.
The event featured a noteworthy exhibition of paintings portraying the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, followed by a programme at the Sports Complex. The inauguration commenced with the lighting of the lamp and a soulful rendition of the song 'Shree Ganesha Deva' performed by the music society 'Reverb.'

Two book launches, 'Deccan to Delhi: A Journey of Shivaji and ideas, inspiration instituted by Shivaji College,' and 'कुटुम्ब प्रबोधन,' added to the day's significance. The celebration concluded with a captivating performance of the Lavani dance form, a traditional Marathi folk dance, presented by the Footloose dance society.
