The Embassy of Israel celebrated Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, in the capital on Wednesday. With tarot card and palm readers, and coffee cup readers to give a glimpse of what the future holds, the soiree was all about conversations and catching up with friends. The event was the brainchild of Ohad Nakash Kaynar, Deputy Chief of Mission from the Israel Embassy, who shared, “Our New Year is also the occasion for us to plan for the future. Through events like these, we need to tell our counter- parts that we are not just col- leagues, we are friends as well.
