was a grand gala. Even though the ceremonies were over by the evening, for the reception, guests kept dropping in even after midnight, since they’d been delayed by traffic snarls. Many told the hosts that they could not make it on time because they were stuck in a traffic jam for more than three hours.

Dress code: The ladies of both families attended almost all the functions in traditional clothes – saris and Banarasi brocades. Saumya Jain, the groom’s sister, who was busy hosting guests, said, "I am too happy to be tired!" Saumya’s friends also put up an impromptu performance that even had the seniors of the family dancing to their tunes. Vetsop Namgyel, ambassador of Bhutan was also one of the guests at the wedding.
