Ritu was ���honor���ed: Last week, a grand ceremony was hosted by the French ambassador to India, Jerome Bonnafont, at his residence.
The French government had bestowed the prestigious award of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) on fashion designer Ritu Kumar, and the party was hosted to celebrate the occasion.

Before the ceremony began, a minute���s silence was observed in memory of the Mumbai terror attack victims.
A special gathering: The do boasted of many guests who are not Delhi���s party regulars.
Ritu had come with husband Shashi and sons Amrish and Ashwin. Making a special appearance at the do was Ritu���s cousin, filmmaker Deepa Mehta. Ustad Amjad Ali Khan also came along with wife Subhalakshmi and daughter-in-law Neema. Singer Anushka Shankar happily posed for photo-ops with boyfriend Karsh Kale.
