Delhis art connoisseurs took a break from Delhi International Arts Festival and organised a dinner party.
The colour red ruled the do as many of the guests came dressed in bright outfits of this hue. The topics of discussion ranged from art to the recent Mumbai terror attacks. Pratibha Prahlad expressed her solidarity towards the victims of the tragedy and said, We want to tell all Mumbaiites that we love them and are with them.

Art is a great leveller and we hope that it overrules the communal disharmony.
Thoda sa tipsy: Ram Jethmalani turned out to be a wordsmith when he said that whatever he says is true and gave a reason for it as well. An inebriated person is not worried about the consequences of saying the truth. He also agreed with Pratibha and said, Activities exploring the creative aspect of Indians will convey a strong message to those propagating terror. They will know what a culturally-rich civilisation they are trying to destroy. Celebrating art is a way of celebrating the creative spirit. It also gives out the message that no effort to disturb the peace of our country will succeed.
united we stand: We also caught up with Salima Hashmi, a human rights activist from Pakistan. She said, Pakistans civil society is also under threat from the same people. We stand by our Indian brethren in their moment of grief. I had some prior engagements, but it was equally important for me to be here and speak my heart out. We should come together and combat terror.
Artist Paul Nandy was also present at the do. He had specially flown down from London to attend the do. I have to leave for London tomorrow, but I will come back to attend the literary fest, he said.
