It was the NRI Diwas and a grand party was hosted in their honour.

HAVE A LOOK: Anna (TOI Photo)As a part of the NRI Diwas, the British high commissioner Richard Stagg and his wife Arabella hosted a reception and an art exhibition at their residence.
Art and party: And the do was a hit from the word go! Anjanna Kuthiala, James Hornton, Graham Clarke, Nick Tidnam, Cas Holmes, Kelvin Griffin, Wendy Smith, Brian Lewis, Bernar Rangel, Mike Hutchins and Ravinder Kalsi showcased their works and also gave away some of their works for a charity auction.

Holidays in India: Ambika Saha said, "Though I live in NZ, I come to India every year to spend my vacations here. And when I attend a party, I make sure I wear something Indian traditional clothes are a hit with me."
Yes, commissioner! Everybody wanted to meet the British high commissioner Richard, who is fairly new in India. Ask Richard how he is liking it here and he says, "I really like the people here. They are a warm lot."
Another party followed: After the warm reception at Richard’s residence, the party continued at the hotel where all the delegates were staying. And bhangra ruled the roost! Everybody grooved to Punjabi tracks that Captain Laddi and Tarlochan Singh Bilga sang. French actress Anna Shnynkova and artist Nick were quite fascinated by the foot-tapping music. Nick exclaimed, "This is better than rock, I say!"
The people: Also seen at the do were Satish and Kiran Gujral, ex-army chief General JJ Singh who came with his wife Anupama, ex-CBI director Joginder Singh, Rasik Patel, Mike Patel, Neetu, Jagmohan Singh and Swaraj Pachauri. Pratibha Prahlad, who came with her Bangalore-based friend Saroj also had a blast. Neeru, Tejendra Tiwari, Shawn Runacres, Shovana Narayan, Archana Gera, Meenakshi Sahni, Meena and Govind Saha, Alka Raghuvanshi and Elizabeth Rogers were also spotted enjoying the evening.
