Music has no language barriers, and that’s what we witnessed at the Norwegian Embassy, where diplomats, people of Norwegian origin and Indians alike got together to celebrate the Norwegian Constitution Day. HAPPY FEET: At the event, Norwegian Ambassador, Ann Ollestad couldn’t be any happier over the large turnout at the event. And despite the warm weather, she coolly floated through the crowd, with her daughter Line, who is studying at the Delhi School of Economics.
ENCORE: Guests were seen enjoying the soulful music of Kim André Rysstad, Lajla Buer Storil, and John Ole Morken. “Ours is a fusion of traditional Norwegian and folk music,” Storli said. “And since we all belong to different parts of Norway, our style and dialects are completely different, making our musical style unique,” added Rystaad.
WAY TO GO INDIA: Kari Reisvang and Kristine Brus-letto came dressed in sarees. “I just love wearing sarees, and use any excuse to wear one,” said Kari. The do was also attended by Swedish Ambassador, Lars Olof Lindgren, Spanish Ambassador, Don lon de la Riva and German Ambassador, Thomas Matussek.
KUDOS TO THE KIDDOS: While the parents were making merry in the evening, the kids had their share of fun, informed Celina Anker-Rasch, in the morning. “Watching 150 children parade from the Norwegian Embassy to the British High Commission, in the morning was surely a remarkable site,” said Celina.
