Ad hoc host: The New Zealand high commission opened its doors to guests of the Commonwealth Society of India on the occasion of the Commonwealth Observance Day recently in the capital. While the high commissioner was away for work, his wife Carol Morton played co-host with Shivani Wazir Pasrich, who was there as the chairperson of the society. The high commissioner of Malta, John Aquilina, was heard discussing films with National Award winning director Nila Madhab Panda, who’s working on an Indo-Polish project.
Kaho Na Pyaar Hai throwback: The do was abuzz with discussions about filming opportunities through the Commonwealth, and guests were heard talking about their favourite movies like The Hobbit series, the Lord Of The Rings series and Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, that have been shot in New Zealand and Malta. A clip from the New Zealand shooting of I Hate Love Stories featuring Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan was also screened at the do.
