Sunaina Anand, it seems, knows it well. When she hosted this exhibition for six upcoming artists – Meghansh Thapa, Kartik Sood, Sonam Jain, Uma Shankar, Vipul Prajapati and Jignash Ojha – the art frat was all praise for them.

Gopi Gajwani said with a smile, “I would always encourage them for their future.” And Nida Mahmood, who came straight from work and who is seen flaunting a tiny pony these days, said, “I love their work, and took out time to come here and explore their creativity.” On that note, this must be a season of changing hairstyles, we think, especially when we saw Shivani Wazir Pasrich sporting straight hair this time, unlike the usual soft waves. While Raul Chandra was discussing the nuances of the artists’ paintings, Nida was in for some leg-puling. She said, “I love to say to Raul, ‘Rahul, paani chala jayega.’
It’s a lot of fun.” While such discussions were on, and we got to hear the guests busy with the hellos, the munching, discussing the usual idhar-udhar ki baatein etc, we saw the stars of the evening, the six kalakaars, keeping to their respective corners. Talk to them about their work, and the shy lot would extend their lips into a smile. Else, they were busy talking slowly amongst themselves. Is that what they call, ‘Let your work speak for itself?’ Well, artistically speaking, we thought that only for a while!
