Get ready for some good music! This evening, percussionist Anandam Sivamani and Mandolin U Shrinivas are going to rock the Times Delhi Festival.
The event, at the Siri Fort Auditorium, already has Dilliwallahs doing a lot of jugaad for passes. Sivamanis converts are usually high on josh, and this live performance also promises to do the same. An expert at playing drums and the kanjira, one can also expect some innovative musical sounds (that include musical notes from cans and empty bottles among other things), at Sivamanis concerts.

But Sivamani confesses that though he loves to play all kinds of instruments, his first love is the drums. Nothing excites me more than playing the drums. That gives me a different high. I think my music is unconventional, he says.
Sivamani, who jams with AR Rahman for the band, Roots, says that he is extremely happy about Rahmans achievement in Slumdog Millionaire. The percussionist says that Rahmans USP has always been the Indianness in his works.
Shrinivas Carnatic music is a definite crowd puller the highlight of the evening will be his jugalbandi with Sivamani. So, go on, people, let the music liven up your evening! Jaya Drona
