dedicated to dance, music, drama and a fashion show curated by the students of the

International Women Polytechnic College

as the institute organized Melange, its annual day celebrations. The students of different branches of the institute performed for a packed auditorium.
An evening to showcase talent
While addressing the students, Meenakshi Lekhi, MP, chief guest for the evening, said, "The platform that this college is giving to young women is really encouraging. Kissi bhi desh ko agar viksit desh banana hai, toh sabse zayada zarurat wahan ki yuva shakti ke skills ki hai. I want to congratulate the parents of these students also who have understood the importance of the skills and are encouraging them to take up the courses which can enhance their skills."

, Special Police Unit for Women and Children (SPUWAC) could not make it to event, Yashoda Rawat, ACP, (SPUWAC) came to encourage the students. The girls of the Gagan Vihar branch managed to impress everyone with their dance performance on hit numbers like Kala Chashma and Ek Do Teen. A mime performance by the students of the Pusa Road branch and a singing act by the students of the Janakpuri branch was also performed as part of the cultural evening.

A fashion show on various themes
Students of various branches chose themes like Crazy and Conventional, Sunshine Superstar, Punk, and Forest and Fire for a fashion show. Prachi Khanna, one of the students who participated in the fashion show, said, "I walked the ramp for the theme ‘Punk’ and the costume was designed by one of my friends from my institute. It was the first time that I had walked the ramp, but I really liked the encouragement that I got from the guests."

Former Miss India-World, Parvathy Omanakuttan, who was also invited, said, "I think it’s a fabulous platform for young women to showcase their talent and I think it is a great initiative by the institute to create an opportunity like this." Swareena Singh Sirohi, Miss India finalist 1999 and former Miss India contestant Seitu Kumar Aneja (1997) also attended the event.
