2000, took to the stage. About her association with the pageant, Lara said, “My journey with The Times Of India of mentoring the girls began five years ago. And with each passing year, our girls have gotten better. Miss Diva is not about a pretty face. I am looking for someone who can take success and failure in her stride.”

Pulkit Samrat and fashion designer Sonaakshi Raaj were the judges for the evening. “This pageant is not only about winners, but better individuals. I always saw this competition on television and this was the first time when I got to see this live,” said Pulkit. After some brilliant performances by the finalists, singer Kailash Kher took over the stage and made the guests sing and dance to his hit numbers. The ceremony came to an end with the announcement of the subcontest winners and was followed by a grand party. The winner also stands to win prizes worth Rs 10 lakh.

Sizzling gowns rock the ramp
Glittering gowns in shades of peach, pink, metallic gold and silver with intricate embroidery were the highlight of designer Sonaakshi Raj’s collection, which was sported by the contestants. The collection was designed keeping in mind young women who love to experiment. Sonaakshi said, “This season, my line is intricately designed for the bold, beautiful and independent new-age-woman, who knows her mind and is not afraid to experiment and create her distinct style statement.”
