A political couple, all right!:
DUSU president Amrita Dhawan and Delhi Youth Congress secretary Deepak Chaudhry’s engagement ceremony was a well-attended one. Many politicians came to wish the couple the very best.

A brief visit as always:
Sonia Gandhi dropped in to bless the couple. The couple was in high spirits that Sonia could join them, even if for a short while.
In a tearing hurry:
Renuka Chowdhary also came but she left in a jiffy as she had another commitment. Looking nice in an off-white saree, she hugged Amrita and congratulated Deepak.
On a joke:
Ashok Gehlot met union minister Kamal Nath on his way out of the venue. The duo exchanged a warm hug and chuckled as they spoke to each other.

Meeting-sheeting:
NSUI president Nadeem Javed and senior congress leader Mukul Wasnik were spotted engaged in a long conversation. With DU elections round the corner, Nadeem said he has been keeping busy. “I just finished a meeting and am off for another in a couple of minutes,” said Nadeem. Busy political agendas, eh?
Who stole the show ?:
Of course, Amrita looked pleasing in a pink lehenga and the pink flowers she decorated her hair with were pretty too. However, many compliments came Avantika Maken’s way too. Dressed in a white saree, the lady took charge of the entire function. She said, “Amrita is like my sister and I am happy for her. This is one of the most important days of her life and I want to do everything to make it very special for her.” Kya dosti hai!
Kurta debate:
Who’s kurta is brighter, seemed to be the debate between Rahul Vohra and Sandeep Dikshit.
Well, gentlemen, the choice was difficult between a bright orange and a hot pink!
