At the Miss DT contest at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College, we noticed that most of the girls had a single message for the crowd ��� live life to the fullest. As the girls introduced themselves, they said the same line in too many ways. ���Life is short, live it up,��� said somebody, ���Do not bear grudges in life, just live it well,��� said another.And the message went across seriously, as the girls didn���t miss a single chance to have fun.

We had the honour of sitting close to somebody very witty (name withheld). This girl had an expert comment on every girl on stage. When Priyanka said, ���I love to talk. And I���d just like to say that you must enjoy life to the fullest,��� Miss Expert Comments (MEC) said, ���Yeh sab end mein itni philosophy kyun maar rahen hain?��� When Shweta said, ���I���m a good bathroom singer���, MEC said, ���Ab wahan toh hum aa nahi sakte na.��� Anushri said, ���I���m fond of sleeping,��� MEC said, ���Aur hum sab bachpan se so nahi rahe hain ki tumhe aage bheje. Yeh toh hamaari insult kara rahi hai yaar.���

Emcee Jitesh Chawla, who was sold for Rs 100 at Lady Irwin College could have become an easy target for some serious taekwondo stunts this time. Manila, a taekwondo player was asked to show off her fighting skills in the talent round. ���You want me to show you how to kick, but who do I kick?��� she asked the crowd. And the answer was, ���Kick JC (Jitesh)���. And no, she didn���t kick him but yes, she did scare him. JC said, ���Arrey yaar, kabhi mujhe bech dete hain, kabhi mujhe kick karna chahte hain.���
JC ke naam ki kahani
Jitesh said that he���s called JC because it is a very popular name. ���Jesus Christ, JC Bose, Jim Carrey, Juhi Chawla, Jim Corbett, Salman in judicial custody in Jaipur, joint committee ��� all this is JC,��� he said. And this wasn���t the end of his totally whacked out humour, he also said (without rhyme or reason), ���Aur aapko milta hai free dinner mere saath aapke ghar par,��� and, ���Aap jeet gayi hain two nights aur three days ka holiday Wazirpur depot par,��� and also, ���Aapko milta hai 29 inches colour television ka khali dibba.���
A joke too
As a part of her intro, a contestant asked on stage, ���Do you have any idea about love?��� When she was asked what her idea was, she said, ���Love was the son of Lord Rama!��� And no surprises there, she found it the funniest!
Attitudey
After introductions and the talent round, Shoot model Pooja Pradaan and Radio Mirchi RJ Akriti took the contest to the final level with a Q&A session. Chetna Luthra was asked how would she describe the colour green to a blind person. ���I would describe to the person the feeling of jealousy. I���ll ask how he/she feels when they can���t see the beautiful things others can. I���ll also say that green is the colour they can smell in a garden full of trees. I���ll say that both these feelings can be associated with the colour green.��� On the basis of the great answer that she gave and her chutzpah, Chetna was made Miss DT SPM college. She also got to host a show on Radio Mirchi with RJ Akriti ���coz she had loads of Mirchi Quotient too. Tania was asked if she would be cool if her boyfriend asked her to split the bill on their second or third date. She said, ���Arrey, first five or six dates toh he should at least afford na.��� She was awarded the first runner-up prize. And Astha Dhingra, whose somersaults on stage made her an instant hit with the crowd, was given the second runner-up title. The last year���s winners were present too.
