Many specially abled children in the capital walked on stage with Miss India World 2014 Koyal Rana in the capital recently, when the title holder made an appearance at an event organized by Delhi’s Syro-Malabar Mission to promote awareness among people about the society and its charitable activities. Koyal was also seen cheering for the children living in orphanages across the city, who performed at the do.Bollywood singer Aman Trikha also enthralled the audience at Thyagaraj Sports Complex with dulcet tunes like Hum Tumhe Kaise Bataye from Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami and even gave in to the crowd’s request for Hookah Bar, saying, “I’m performing the unplugged version of Hookah Bar for first time in Delhi. Bahut time baad Dilli mein perform kar raha hoon. It’s like coming back home.” The B-Town singer also sang Teri Galiyan from Ek Villian and Tum Hi Ho from Aashqui 2 in Malayalam as well. Stand-up comedian and singer Sugandha Mishra sent the crowd into throngs of laughter and also sang some Bollywood numbers. She joked, “Karva Chauth hai, maine mehndi bhi lagai hai lekin Dilliwale ladkon ke liye nehin.” Inaugurated by the archbishop of Delhi-Faridabad, Diocese Mar Kuriakose Bharanikulangara, the event saw Sebastian Vadakumpadan, Vicar General of Delhi-Faridabad Diocese, Amalia SD, Mother Superior, Jivodaya Convent, Ashok Vihar and Padma Jayaseelan, General Secretary, Rural Women Social & Welfare Association, Ashok Vihar in attendance.
