KD Singh celebrates birthday with street children

All India Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP, KD Singh, recently celebrated his birthday with hundreds of street children.
“It is an annual commitment,” he said. He was seen with his wife, Harpreet Kaur, as the duo spent his 51st birthday in the company of more than 500 children from various shelter homes in Delhi. The delighted children were treated to a show of Ek Tha Tiger at a multiplex, followed by a live DJ show where the kids danced and had fun.
“I also went through many hardships in life, but never gave up. Finally the hard times faded, my difficulties were overcome, and I began to taste success,” said Singh, as Sameer, one of the boys announced, “This is the most exciting day of my life.” Singh said he’d spent many years throwing expensive birthday parties for his rich and powerful friends, but none gave him the satisfaction and joy that he now gains from spending his birthdays with the street kids.
