when Punjabi singers Jassie Gill and Babbal Rai performed in the city. Even though the gig started an hour late, fans were thrilled to see the singers perform as they kept chanting their names. Babbal kick-started the evening saying, “Gallan kat te kaam zyada,” and he stayed true to his words. The singer sang some of his hit songs, including 'Mai Tera Akshay' and 'Uche Uche Kad', among others while breaking into impromptu bhangra, making Delhiites match steps with him. The crowd’s pitch, however, was at its highest when Jassie made an entry humming his popular track, 'Nikale Currant'. On popular demand, the singer ended up singing it thrice. Addressing the audience, 'Bapu Zimidar' singer, said, “It is always wonderful to perform for Delhi audience. Mujhe sabse zyada pyaar Dilli se hai as most of my concerts have been hosted in the city.” After singing some of their songs, the duo sang tracks of other Punjabi singers, including Gurdas Mann and Harbhajan Mann, among others.

Several fans came a bit too early to watch them perform live. “It is the first time that I am seeing Jassie perform live. It was totally worth coming all the way from Rohini and braving Delhi’s traffic on a holiday,” said Mohit Sharma, an audience member. Kaajal Singh, a south Delhi resident, added, “I am a big fan of the team Jassi-Babbal (as the duo is fondly known), so I came with my friends at 1pm, so that we could stand in the front.”
