GIVE ME SOME SPACE: It was mid-week, of course, but then, Delhi parties on Wednesday night just as it does on Saturday night. Even though the IPL fever kept some cricket buffs at home and away from the nightlife scene, the IMC hip-hop night at Smoke House Grill saw a decent turnout.
And the ones who were present were finally able to enjoy a little more space and freedom to groove than they usually get in this packed nightclub. Said Natasha Grover, “I love hip-hop, man! And this place is normally packed by 10.30pm. Nevertheless, I’m loving it. I’m a regular here and I love the Wednesday nights any which way.” Meanwhile, Salama Yamini, head, IMC said, “Be ready to witness a bigger and better IMC 2011 in Mumbai.”
CLICKETY CLICK: We spotted three boys from France who’ve been working in Delhi for a year, and who were ecstatic to get clicked. “Wow! My parents will be so proud of me,” one of them exclaimed. On the other hand, there were Delhi couples cozying up at this do who tried to evade the shutterbugs. But guys, haven’t you heard of the phrase jab pyaar kiya to darna kya?
