Meena and Shakti Nath threw a grand party for their four-month-old grandson, Viraj.
Guests who had got gifts for the tiny tot wanted to give the gifts to him themselves, but because he was missing from the party, the gifts were accepted by his parents, Roshini and Vikram Nath. We caught up with the couple and asked them why the lad was not present in his own party.Roshini, who looked lovely in a red dress, replied, ���He is fast asleep in his room. And if he comes here he will start crying.���
STARS ON THE MENU: At this do, apart from the regular khana-peena, the guests also enjoyed live performances of some popular artistes.Udita Goswami showed off some of her cool dance moves. She danced on a medley of songs ��� Beedi Jalaile, Ye Mera Dil Pyar Ka Diwana, Ek Baar Aaja Aaja, Talli Ho Gayi, Desi Girl. Music composer and singer Anand Raj Anand, who is a good friend of the Naths, sang some of his popular numbers like Dil De Diya Hai. He was a hit with the guests. He sang another song, Piya More, from his yet-to-be-released movie. But he did have apprehensions about singing it ��� he said it might be copied by others. DJ Aqeel���s music made many want to dance, which they did.
DANCING NON-STOP: Those who were a little reluctant to hit the floor were persuaded by Roshni and Chandni Nath to jive a little. The guests were only happy to oblige the pretty ladies. Desi Girl, Om Shanti Om, Ji Karda, Mauja Hi Mauja, Chance Pe Dance Karle... these were some of the foot-tapping numbers that Aqeel spun that evening.
