Fashion, with a fun twist...
The TGIF festival, that started on August 7, concluded on August 28.
It was an annual fashion event that gave young designers a platform to showcase their creations. Rohan Jetley, promoter, TGIF in India said, Fashion@Fridays started as a small initiative in the year 2007 for the Fridays Big Spender card members in Delhi. The idea of doing Fashion@Fridays is to further integrate our brand with the youth.

Fridays is a young and dynamic brand and activities such as these keep us relevant to the young, new emerging India whom we cater to.
The highlight of the evening was, obviously, the fashion show. The funky designs and the bright colours of the outfits pepped up the evening. Models who walked the ramp included Ankita, Prerna, Saachi, Anushka and Neera. Besides the show, there were also many fun activities that kept the guests guessing what was to come next. Like the special bartending show with which the evening began. Sanjoy Roy, CEO of TGIF was quite impressed with the bartenders adeptness.
The first such festival was staged last year in the Delhi outlets. It was a model hunt. And, it was going by the response to that event that TGIF made Fashion@Fridays an annual event. This year, the event was taken across the country to Bangalore and Mumbai too, along with Delhi. Six young budding designers from the best fashion institutes showcased their designs.
Rohan explained that the management expected this event, held on a national scale, to serve as a confidence building measure for young Indian designers.
