Diljit Dosanjh dazzles Delhi
‘I am Punjab’ echoed across Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium as Diljit Dosanjh fever took over the capital. Opening with a lively ‘Ki haal o Dilli walo!’ the Born to Shine singer had the audience on their toes entire evening.
As part of his ongoing Dil-Luminati Tour, produced by Saregama Live and Ripple Effect Studio, Diljit performed in the capital on October 26 & 27.
Children dressed up in dhoti-kurtas, turbans, and face masks paired with aviators, while others with customised T-shirts with one-liners like ‘G.O.A.T’, ‘Dil-Luminati Tour 24’ and ‘Punjabi Aa Gaye Oye’ made the atmosphere even more vibrant.
Tracks like G.O.A.T., Do You Know, Proper Patola, and Hass Hass echoed across the stands, with fans singing along, cheering, and dancing to every beat.
It wasn’t just Diljit’s music that stirred the crowd, it was his messages too. “Dream big! Badde sapne dekho, jab mere jaisa banda Jimmy Fallon ko Panjabi bulwa sakta hai, toh koi kuch bhi kar sakta hai,” he said, drawing cheers and laughter from the crowd.
As the night wound down, Diljit raised the tricolour, bringing a surge of cheer from the audience.
Vikram Mehra, Managing Director of Saregama India Ltd. said, “Working with Diljit for the past three years, from international shows to this grand national tour, has been an extraordinary experience! The performance in Delhi was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing the magic of Diljit Dosanjh. He is truly raising the bar for live concerts in India and setting a new standard for artists everywhere. Witnessing the fans’ excitement and energy reaffirmed Saregama’s commitment to creating unforgettable experiences."
