It was a spirited evening celebrating the melodrama of Bollywood, narrating the stories of art and bringing a glimpse of the streets in India.
And a slight nip in theair was just perfect for an evening out. Fashion designer Nida Mahmood and RaulChandra were the hosts of the evening. As the guests started pouring in, theywere in for a pleasant surprise as the ambience took them back to the filmi daysof Sholay and Don. Nida, who���s been working at rehabilitatingposter artists said, ���These artists have been long forgotten. All of themlost their jobs when there was a sudden influx of the printed posters,���adding, ���It took me a while to locate them, but I found five between theage group of 60-85, who are the original poster artists. I���m also makinguse of their art in my latest collection.��� AD Singh picked up a Gabbarjacket from Nida���s collection and wore it impromptu. Author WilliamDalrymple was the one who seemed to be enjoying the evening to the fullest bycatching up with friends and shaking a leg as well. Chintan, one ofthe band members of Parikrama, was on the console and belted out some groovymusic. Bandwallahs joined in to jam too.
