Preity cheered, Ness cheered, and they finally hugged each other in celebration! (TOI Photo)While Team Mohali and the Delhi Daredevils battled it out for a berth in the IPL semis at Kotla on Saturday, the rain played hide and seek with the two teams. The match began with the Daredevils captain Virender Sehwag putting up a good performance to chants of Viru, Viru from the Delhi crowd.
The match was interrupted by rain and was resumed, but finally, Team Mohali won, and that saw the owners, Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia, feeling so ecstatic that they embraced jubilantly, right there on the grounds.
The rain was, of course, literally a spoilsport, but the spectators braved it out while waiting for the match to resume. And they were pretty sporting too, for they cheered just as enthusiastically for Mohali as they did for Delhi. Meanwhile, Ness proved himself to be Mr Nice Guy when he was stopped at the gates for frisking by securitymen, who didnt recognise him.
The man obligingly raised his hands and waited while the security check was conducted. When it was over, he just smiled and walked across to the VVIP lounge. Setting an example for other VIPs, Ness?
