Delhiites will get a chance to enjoy the absolute indulgence of Magnum, one of the world's premi um ice cream brands, in three deli cious flavours ­ classic, almond and chocolate truffle from March 1 for `90 each. Made with pure Belgian chocolate, the brand aims to be known to be synonymous with royal treatment and pleasure for the taste buds. Delhi got a taste of the royal treatment as Chef Kunal Kapur, of Masterchef India fame, held a Masterclass for the brand recently. The event aimed to take chocolate aficionados on a Belgian chocolate trip like never before, turning even non-chocolate eaters (yes, those exist too, apparently) into total chocoholics!The Masterclass began with the chef inviting the excited audience to try different types of Belgian chocolate ­ white, milk, and dark ­ explaining how each combined with ice cream creates a unique tasting experience. “Belgian chocolate contains a minimum of 35% cocoa, which is among the highest levels of chocolate. No wonder it is so rich and indulgent, right? The coating of Belgian chocolate on the ice cream has been specially designed to be thick and cracking, so much so that one can hear a distinctive crack at first bite. Tempting, to say the least,“ company reps told us. The chef was in his element as he combined a variety of royal-looking toppings such as edible gold, silver and pearls with Magnum to create his own dessert specialties. He served great inspiration to the audience, who also joined in and designed their own delectable creations. After the class ended, Kunal told us, “I feel elated to be a part of the Magnum family. Masterclass is truly the most pleasurable and creative way to engage with audiences and induct them into the Magnum world. We indulged in some lip-smacking recipes that enticed our taste buds like never before."Spotted indulging in the Belgian chocolate delights were several known faces from the Delhi social circuit including Vidushi and Rima Mehra and Shivkaran Singh with wife Reemma Sen.
