GUILT-FREE GORGING: At the dinner after the Times Food and Nightlife Awards 2015, held at the Nandiya Gardens at ITC Maurya, everyone from models and beauty queens to actors ditched their diets for the evening and were seen indulging in their favourite drinks and desserts. We ran into the fbb Femina Miss India Delhi winner, first and second runners-up – Apeksha Porwal, Aditi Arya and Rushali Rai – interacting with Miss India World 2014 Koyal Rana, at the dinner arena.
We asked the girls if they stuck to their diets for the evening, to which they replied, “What’s a diet?” Koyal announced her love for butter naan and dal makhni while Apeksha tried to stay healthy with just sushi. Aditi added, “I wish we could come here every year to have all this amazing food.” TV actor Himmanshoo Ashok Malhotra said, “There’s so much yummy food here. It’s difficult to choose what to eat and what not to eat.” Navdeep Singh Virk, commissioner of police, Gurgaon, said, ‘This is like a food festival. I am saddened that it is only for a day. The food festival should go on for a few days so that people can savour all the dishes.”
FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS EVERYWHERE: Director Onir, who is currently shooting his next in the capital, turned up for dinner with the members of his cast. Among many selfies, they told us, “Everyone’s recommending what they’re eating to the others because there’s just so much good food everywhere that it’s really difficult to make a choice.” Model Amit Ranjan added, “It’s the best food of the city on one plate.
