BFI President Amit Singh called the performance of the boxers historic, saying, “The USP of this performance was that we did not care much for reputations this time. A lot of our boys and girls defeated Olympic or World Champions on the way to their medal win.” He also added that the federation would nominate gold medallist Amit Panghal for an
Arjuna Award.
