Dinners hosted by Bhaichand Patel at his Delhi residence are famous for his hospitality and good food, but when the former diplomat and writer hosted one for British-Indian businessman Gulam Noon and his wife Mohini recently, he had to do a bit of planning in advance.
The reason – when UK’s unofficial Curry King is dining at your residence, there must be something special on the menu, right? “I had to make it special,” said Patel, adding, “Jokes apart, Mohini is a dear friend of mine, and when she told me that they’d be visiting, I thought I’d host a little dinner for them.”
Patel’s select friends made it to the bash, including Arvind Singh Ji Mewar, for whom it was an evening full of long, thoughtful conversations.
