The band members of
Astitva
brought down the curtains for Symphony, the annual cultural festival of
Janki Devi Memorial College
(JDMC). On the last day of the fest, a rock show was organized by the students’ union exclusively for the JDMC students. The band started with one of their original compositions, Tu Hi Bata, and also sang covers of
Bollywood
songs to entertain the crowd.

We took a risk: Students’ unionWhile the students had a great time, the students’ union was a bit apprehensive of the response from the crowd. “We had called Guru
Randhawa
last year, so we had expectations to live up to, but the crowd was really happy with the energy of the band. They were really happy that we had something different this time,” said
Nayan Jhangiani
, a third-year student and media head of the students’ union.
