Kuchipudi dancer Yamini Reddy, showcased the intricate Kuchipudi dance moves and skills, acquired under the tutelage of Raja Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy, recently at Kamani Auditorium.

Vishnu manifests himself in endless forms. He manifests himself in endless forms starting from a giant fish Matsya to Buddha the messenger of peace and non-violence. It is this power of manifestation in endless forms that projects Vishnu as the Anantarupah.

At its crux, Yamini’s presentation Anantarupah brought to life two of Lord Vishnu’s divine manifestations - Narsimha (Half Man – Half Lion) and Rama (the son of Dasaratha).

Both pieces were selected for their uniqueness and contrast. While one piece was an excerpt from a traditional Yakshaganam which is a part of the ancient Kuchipudi heritage. The second piece was an amalgamation of North Indian Hindustani music and South Indian Kuchipudi dance showing the seamless blend of two rich traditions of India.

The production promised to take the audience on a journey of solo storytelling which is the epitome of Kuchipudi.
