From the decor – white lights and white orchids – to the models, all were dressed in white. Luca Moro, President, Balmain Watches, said, “White is elegant and we started off with this colour in our first show in Paris. We chose to go with white as we have experimented with others in the past.” Moro too joined the ladies on the ramp congratulating them. “Our watches are elegant just like the women on the ramp are,” he said.
Barring cricketer Anjum Chopra, who was dressed in a cream pantsuit, all other ladies were in white. “I don’t own a white sari or a white gown so I opted for something that was closest,” said Anjum, who walked the ramp with utmost confidence. Designer Anjana Bhargav looking elegant was also spotted chatting up with friends, while golfer Sharmila Nicolett looked like a professional model on the ramp given her good height. We also caught up with Ramneek Pantal in a beautiful a pre-pregnancy white dress with black detailing. “Anika – the organiser of the show is very dear to me. I think someday I will simply deliver on ramp,” joked she. Fashion choreographer Ajay Bisht cheered the ladies on the ramp and mentioned, “I was booked by the organisers at Balmain. There is no favourite that I have on the ramp, I like all of them. The focus today is on the women and the watches.” Rima Mehra’s husband designer Shantanu Mehra was all proud. “She isn’t a model, but she did well on the ramp. She is a real woman,” he said. Vidushi Mehra was seen asking husband designer Nikhil Mehra, “I hope I did not embarrass you!” Well, one thing was for sure, Vidushi did look stunning.
