The final day of Little Tags Luxury Delhi Times Fashion Week powered by Cool Lip Music presented the best of traditional weaves and craft. The fashion extravaganza came to a close with a dazzling show by Suneet Varma.

Ritam and Astha Ssidana

All that shimmer
Suneet Varma is known for embroidery, shimmer and finesse in his designs, and this time, too, he was perfect in his choice of subtle tones complemented by hand embroidery. The designer said, “It is important that my couture compliments any girl who wears it. I think it is important that girls feel sexy, young, I won’t say traditional as I am not a traditional guy, but they should feel fabulous in my designs.”

Ritika Khatnani

, LIVA Miss Diva Supranational 2021, managed by Times Talent, and former Bigg Boss contestant

Nitibha Kaul

were the showstoppers.

Paras Solanki and Sonalika Sahay

Ensemble essentials
The Lucknow-based designer presented an occasion wear line, which was all about khadi, silk and velvets. Mukesh said, “As this is a time of celebration, we thought that it should reflect in the collection. Though there was little time for us to prepare for this show, we tried to present the best for the festive season.”

Trisha Shetty, Femina Miss India Goa 2020, managed by Times Talent

Classy and Chic
From sexy leather jackets to chic dresses, cool jumpers and classic overcoats, the show by Marks & Spencer had trendsetting designs for the autumn-winter on the ramp. The loungewear collection for men and athleisure line for women was quite impressive.

Sayesha and Siya

Kiddies’ day out
It was playtime on the runway as tiny tots took over the ramp in designer outfits. Draped in the cutest couture that one can imagine, the kids stole the show. Chandni Agarwal, Founder, Little Tags Luxury, said, “When I launched this brand four years ago, I realised there was a gap in this section as I had to hunt for some designer wear for my daughter. I wanted to get into kids’ couture with that thought, and I think this was the right time to do this show.”

Ayesha Assadi, LIVA Miss Diva 2021 finalist, managed by Times Talent

Traditional imprints
Prints and subtle shades seem to be the biggest trend for autumn-winter 2021. Designer Pradeep Shahari’s collection was just an addition to the shows that had some remarkable prints. It had lehengas with long jackets, long pleated skirts and anarkalis. “I presented Sambalpuri ikats in a different way. We have seen the use of Sambalpuri ikat in silks, but I wanted to keep it in cotton to create something different,” said the designer.

Deepti Gujral

Festive favourites
The young designer took inspiration from the textiles and crafts of Odisha for her collection titled Nakshatra. Manisha said, “I am still a student, and it was a big opportunity for me to be here and present my collection. I wanted to take inspiration from my hometown. So you will see that I have used a lot of Odisha ikat in my collection.”

Shreya Shankar (Femina Miss India United Continents 2019) managed by Times Talent

Vishal Nijhawan,Managing Director, IWP Academy

Celebrating handmade craft
IWP Academy’s collection was a tribute to handwoven techniques found in different parts of the country. Aimed to promote Indian textiles, the collection had outfits in mirror work, thread embroidery, block printing and indigo shades. “This was a big occasion for students as they got to showcase their creations at such a prestigious platform,” said Vishal Nijhawan, managing director, IWP Academy.
