A French touch

Recently, industrialist Arun Nanda was conferred the prestigious Chevallier de la Legion d���honneur at the residence of the French ambassador, Jerome Bonnafont, by the French minister of state for foreign trade, Anne-Marie Idrac.
One saw diplomats as well as many people from Delhi���s party circuit here. The evening began with a formal address by Idrac.She was on a short visit to India, she said. ���It is a great moment for me to be here in India. I���m fascinated by Indian art and culture.��� And her take on Indian fashion? ���Frankly, I don���t think many French people wear Indian attire. But definitely, the Indian fashion industry is booming and we hope to spread more awareness amongst people in France.���
Kalyani Chawla came with her friend Vincent Bernard. She was dressed perfectly for the occasion, a pair chic black trousers teamed with a semi-formal white shirt. Many compliments came her way and she gracefully accepted them.
Bonnafont introduced Idrac and Rama Yade, minister of humanitarian affairs from France to the guests at the party. And soon, everyone was enjoying their conversations and the fingerfood doing the rounds.
