The Collective, a first-of-its-kind retail concept which hosts many international apparel and accessory brands for men and women, celebrated womanhood and high-end fashion by launching their Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
The brand is a super-premium lifestyle retail chain that was launched by Madura Garments Lifestyle Retail Company (MGLRC) – a group company of the Aditya Birla Nuvo.

It was primarily a men’s store with a small boutique section for women. when it first started out six months ago. However, their latest Spring/Summer collection saw the women’s collection expand to a robust 30% of the entire mix. And this called for a celebration of real women and real fashion, which was done in style at the launch of the brand’s latest collection.
And much to the delight of Delhiites, The Collective now offers famous and iconic international brands like Vivienne Westwood, Red Valentino, D&G, Love Moschino, Michael Kors, M Missoni, Juicy Couture, True Religion. Moreover, there are many more fashion brands waiting to be a part of the most fashionable wardrobes in the city.
To announce the launch of this new line-up, The Collective got entrepreneur Thenny Mejia to invite all her friends to a get-together at the store for a fashionably enjoyable evening on March 9, which was a day after the International Women’s Day.
And there couldn’t have been a better day and a better way to engage with the fashionistas of the city. Fifteen of the city’s best dressed women like Shibani Kashyap, Nishi Singh, Ramneek Pantal, Ramola Bachchan, Megha Bhatia, Puneet Juneja, Vesna Jacob and others became stylists for the day where they each styled a model in what they thought would be the perfect look for them. The models walked the ramp on percussion music by Rakesh Mathur, which even had the audience swaying to it. And the grand finale saw Tanvi Gogia having some fun with each of the stylist divas in the ‘Grey Goose Cocktail’ round.
The fashion show at the launch was a different affair from the usual fashion shows, as it was all about fun and had real women flaunting ready-to-wear fashion. The most enjoyable part of the evening was having the audience vote for the best look. The winner was Nishi Singh, followed by a tie between Ramneek and Puneet.
