A fashionable do for charity

At a recent do in the city, designer duo Ashima-Leena announced yet another charity initiative by Khushii– A Rendezvous with Elegance Chapter 2 – which will see the light of the day (err... evening, actually) tomorrow. The show will be hosted by Simone Singh, ‘rocked’ by Parikrama band and shall see Sushmita Sen walk the ramp as the showstopper.
CHASHME BADDOOR: Former cricketer, Kapil Dev, we heard, was in a hurry, and had to leave.But why, we asked. “I have to go for a meeting,” he replied. As guests kept stepping in, and Leena kept doing the rounds, ensuring all of them had their fill, we did some trend-spotting. And the trend of the day was – wearing glares inside the dim lights of the coffee shop where not even a shaft of sunlight could enter. Else why would Nitin Bal Chauhan, Manoviraj Khosla, and for a short while, even Harmeet Bajaj, be wearing their pair? It kept even Atul Wassan wondering, “Why are they wearing sunglasses inside?”
‘LOOKS’ DIFFERENT: Thenny who had earlier confessed to getting bored with the same look, was seen in a different avatar this time. At this do she sported a geeky look, though with red nail colour and golden chappals. She wasn’t the only experimental one there – Suhani Mahajan was spotted flaunting a semi-formal skirt with kolhapuri chappals! Charu Parashar chose to look all corporate this day, aur doosri taraf, Ramola Bachchan was busy smiling to compliments, like, ‘Hey, you look so fab in a dress. Looking like a girl, haan!’ She immediately replied, “Oh! But I have always been wearing dresses.” Even Vandana Luthra, it seemed has lost some weight. But she smiled and explained that her slimmer frame might be because of her traditional attire.
GAYAB HOON MAIN: But Ramola must have not known about her posture until she bumped into Vesna Jacob. The two met for the first time, but became friends within minutes – they kept chatting and chatting. Vesna, who has lost some weight, told her how she could improve her postures by pilates, etc. But who was Mr India of the day – someone we kept hearing about, but couldn’t be seen anywhere – any guesses?
