At a recent art event, we were most surprised to see most guests dressed in shades of black and white, when the artworks were all about a kitsch theme and vibrant colours. Baba Anand’s artworks were inspired by tarot cards and the works of Salvador Dali, and resulted in the exhibition titled ‘The Major Arcana’. So, while the works were high on colour, the guests chose to stick to monochromatic hues, except
Nisha Singh, who told us, “Baba’s works are so kitschy.
So, I decided to dress appropriately and chose this psychedelic print saree as an ode to his works.
”
DOSTI KEE HAI TOH...nibhani toh padegi. Aisa ek dost at the event was Rajiv Bal, Rohit Bal’s elder brother. He told us that Baba and Gudda are extremely good friends, and ussi naate se, he’s here to compensate for Gudda’s absence.
HEART IN ART: We heard Rohit Gandhi talk about how Baba is extremely attached to the works that he makes. To support Baba in his endeavour, guests who turned up at the do included Sameer Sharma and his wife Taruna, Ritu Singh, Sheena Baig and Sabah Sheikh, among others.
