Kolkata Centre for Creativity recently hosted Convergences: A Shared Ground — Lineages, Practices, Futures, a satellite exhibition of the 7th edition of its annual symposium, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
The exhibition brought together artistic practices and ideas rooted in the eastern and north-eastern regions of India, tracing a continuum of cultural, craft, architectural, and artistic traditions. Conceived during a time when inherited ways of making are increasingly fragmented or displaced, Convergences turned to the idea of convergence not as a theme but as a method.
