Consulate of Japan hosts a feast in the city to mark Emperor’s birthday
The Consulate of
Japan in Kolkata hosted a dinner reception on February 27 to commemorate the birthday of His Majesty, the Emperor of Japan. Starting off with the national anthems of both the nations, Consul General of Japan in Kolkata, Nakagawa Koichi, raised a toast to the ties between the two nations and welcomed all to savour the flavours of Japan. With Vivek Kumar, additional secretary to the government of West Bengal as the chief guest for the evening, the Consulate treated the guests to a perfect display of Japan’s culinary brilliance, Ikebana and more.
