Coffee takes centre stage in a unique art exhibition at a city café

Coffee isn’t just for sipping anymore—it’s becoming a canvas. A Salt Lake café is currently hosting an unusual art exhibition where every painting is made using coffee as the medium. The showcase, open till July 31, offers visitors a chance to experience how something as common as coffee can transform into art.

The artist behind these works, Behala-based Partha Mukherjee, has been experimenting with natural elements since childhood. While he works in IT by profession, his creative journey led him to discover coffee as a medium that brings warmth and depth to portraits and abstract forms.

Partha’s coffee art first gained attention during the pandemic, when he used his work to raise funds for relief efforts. Today, his pieces capture human emotions in rich coffee hues, creating a dialogue between art and aroma.

The exhibition promises more than visuals—it invites people to engage with a medium that turns a daily ritual into a creative expression.
