City enjoys the best of French vineyards

The Consulate of France in Kolkata and Alliance Francaise du Bengale hosted a cocktail reception on November 21 to celebrate the French wine festival Beaujolais. Celebrated in France, this celebration marks the first release of Beaujolais Nouveau red wine.

Calling wine the hero of the night, Didier Talpain, Consul General of France in Kolkata said, “Tonight we celebrate France in Kolkata. With wines being an important part of our culture, it’s our duty to help familiarise this part of the world with a variety of French wines.”
