When the British band Toccata came to town, music lovers of the city made a beeline to hear and see them perform. It was a huge band — and they filled the stage. Also, true to their name — Toccata is a virtuoso piece of fast-paced music — they kept it lively. There were four female and four male singers as a part of the band, and they took the audience back in time as they sang songs of ABBA,
Elton John and Bon Jovi.
Incidentally, Chennai has a hand in the band’s formation — it was the 2004 tsunami that made them decide to use music for greater good.
