Naina looked eleganth at the launch of Beyond Madras restaurant at Park Hyaat in Chennai

This was another event that gladdened the hearts of all the foodies who’d been invited for the launch. Look at it this way — what does makes a good event? Good crowd, lovely conversations, laughter, drinks and food, right? There was all this and more here. The setting was elegant, muted, with old-style pathrams, and bharani and all strewn around. The food was a scrumptious array straight from grandma's kitchen — those times of yore when the masala would be ground on ammi kalls, food cooked on and the water came from the well right outside the kitchen.The aroma of the food jogged many memories, and many guests began to talk about how old is still gold. So much so, that soon, every conversation we could overhear was about ‘those good ol’ days’.
