M Chandrasekaran on the occasion of his 80th birth anniversary at Music Academy

Some of the biggies of the music industry, including Sudha Ragunathan, Vani Jairam and TN Seshagopalan, came together to felicitate Sangeetha Kalanidhi M Chandrasekaran on the occasion of his 80th birth anniversary. The Carnatic classical violinist has been performing since the tender age of 11, and the event also marked 70 years of his performance. Apart from screening a short film, which chronicled his life, the evening also saw a solo performance by Chitraveena Ravikiran, and a jugalbandhi between him and violinist Sangeeta Shankar.
