Kollywood veterans honour D Ramanujam, ‘father of Tamil cinema’, in centenary year

Eminent personalities from K-Town gathered to celebrate the centenary of D Ramanujam, a pioneer, who is fondly considered the ‘father of Tamil cinema’. Kamal Haasan, the special guest at the event, which was held in Mylapore, said, “I salute everyone who thought of holding an event to celebrate D Ramanujam.” Veterans from the fields of cinema and dance like K Bhagyaraj, Kalaipuli Thanu, Padma Subrahmanyam, Srekala Bharath and Justice Chandru were present at the event.
