Chennai's jazz night

India met Germany met France. It was an enjoyable clash of cultures and musical sensibilities when German pianist Uli Lenz, French saxophone master Francois Jeanneau and Indian percussionist Muthu Kumar Varadarajan came together for a jazz concert at Mowbrays Hall, Sheraton Park Hotel, to celebrate French National Day.
With sounds that ranged from the urbane to the mellow, the master musicians made sure they had the full attention of those gathered from the word go.And needless to say, they enjoyed every tone, every note.
For his part, general manager of the hotel, Virender Razdan, played perfect host and mingled freely with the guests, making them feel at ease.
With the music, camaraderie and great ambience, this concert was one big hit!
