I am Ready to Help (IRTH) is an initiative to support and help children with special needs and their parents. Parents are a child's best advocate. However, advocating for your child's special needs can be a difficult, and at times, confusing process.
Especially without the awareness of what can be done to help the child and a lack of resources to provide the help to the child.

This is where IRTH steps in to help the children. Having experience with providing therapy to special children through our sister organisation, KaRe Therapy Center, the people behind IRTH function with the specific aim of providing such therapy to as many special children as possible. To this end, we advocate for these children and their parents so that they can be supported.

IRTH's Pink Polish Campaign is a program that attempts to achieve a little bit of this vision. Since March 8th is celebrated as Women's Day all over the world, we decided to focus on the girl child with special needs for this program. The campaign, which happened on March 9, was a proactive one. The supporters painted their nails pink, snapped a picture and shared it on their social media. Doing this not only creates awareness but also is a wonderful way to show your support for the girl child with special needs. A documentary that captures the need for intervention for children with special needs and especially focuses on the girl child with special needs and the importance of therapy for them was screened.
The program was held at Ethiraj College for women. Regeena Jeppiaar (Director of Jeppiaar College), Mini Rao, Apsara Reddy, actress Anupama Kumar, Vasanthi Babu (from Jeevan Foundation), Sruthi Kannath (designer) and Runima Biswas (Director of Toni and Guy for South India) were among those were part of the do.
