It was an evening of theatre, food and wine. When Shreekumar Varma’s Five was premiered recently at a city hotel, Chennaiites were in for a delightful evening of supper theatre that had good food and some food for thought, as well.
The play was based on the premise that loopholes still exist in our democracy that power-mongers easily exploit it.
Even as the play went on to showcase that, the well-attended evening was an occasion for the city’s theatre lovers to interact with each other and discuss the highlights of Five.Off the stage, cricket enthusiasts were after former cricketer Robin Singh, who was present on the occasion, requesting him for autographs.
