Workshop on cyber bullying and cyber crime

With the seamier side of the cyber world becoming a major cause of worry, hyperactive steps are being taken to apprise kids about it. As they (

youngsters

) are more prone to the online mess, several schools are taking steps to highlight the issue. On Friday, a school in Sector 42 here organised an awareness seminar on cyber crime.
An expert from UT police’s Cyber Crime Investigation Cell, SI Hari Om told kids about cyber bullying, cell phone stalking, online gaming, cyber grooming, social media abuse, cyber offense through smart phone, etc. The issue of misuse of internet was also discussed during the workshop. The SI informed kids to stay active and alert when using websites. The issue of data safety also came up, and the cop told kids to report the matter to the police in such situation.
