Chandigarh fashion design students were at their creative best recently as two institutes showcased their students’ collections. While

put up its annual design show ‘Shears & Ruban’ by Fashion Department, University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Development (

UIFT

& VD), another design institute hosted its design interiors show, ‘A Perfect Dream Wedding’.

At Shears & Ruban, students of masters course presented a wide range of
lifestyle and other products, integrating technical knowledge of their field and its creative application.
Seven design displays and nine research projects were presented to the jury members on Wednesday.
In a unique initiative, Samreet Kaur, MSc students presented a

digital document

on campus fashion.

A Perfect Dream Wedding showcased wedding concepts as students created unique wedding sets and destination weddings, with picturesque settings. Students pandered to the dramatic extravaganza, showing unique locations ranging from Cave weddings to Country, from Vintage and antique touches to English Cocktails evening, from vibrant Indian Mehendi to über-contemporary Reception.
