Sixth day of Hasya Mahotsav presented social comedy
Artistes from Indore, staged Hindi comedy play
'Munji Surma'
at Tagore Theatre on Thursday. It was the sixth day of the ‘Hasya Natya Mahotsav’ -
'Hasna Mana Hai'
organised by North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) Patiala (Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India).
The story is written by Padmashri Vijay Daan Detha and directed by Raghavendra, popularly known as Raghav. The act revolves around Munji, a rich man who is a miser. As his habits have an adverse effect on his health, his wife tries to show him the right path through her devotion and prayers. The play gives the message that we should value and preserve the natural resources and not run after worldly possessions and conveniences. Actors Raghav, Jyoti, Ashwin, Mohit, Sandeep, Sanchita, Raja, Aditya, Yash, Divyansh, Shivpal, Hemant, Ishaan, Arshad, Deepa, Chayan and Dev Bhavsar from Prayas Drawing Drama Prashikshan Samiti, Indore, played their roles aptly.
