Singer Pammi Bai performs at Yuvotsav 2018

The 34th north zone inter-university youth festival, Yuvotsav-2018, currently on at Panjab University, is garnering a lot of hype. With several activities happening, the second day of the event brought seasoned Punjabi folk singer Pammi Bai performing live. The Ashke singer was also the chief guest on the occasion.
The day began with one act play happening at Law auditorium.The highlight of the event turned out to be a strong performance on acts stressing on current themes, including plight of the farmers, injustice in rural India, the predicament of love, donation of girls in the temples, etc. The event had an emotional side too as it touched various issues of society. Later, the folk/tribal dance competition was conducted at the Indian theatre department’s open-air auditorium. Also, several other competitions were held, including a quiz in which 28 universities participated, out of which six made it to the final round.
